What Causes Constant Bleeding From Dog Bite Wound?

I got a dog bite on my left hand 5 days ago, it started out bleeding, then after cleaning with Hibiclens soap and hydrogen peroxide it stopped but seeped clear so I put a bandage on it. It continued to seep clear till today and now it s bleeding again. Why won t it heal. Souls I be on an antibiotic? I have diabetes Type 2 and on heart medication for a triple bypass from 2 years ago.

Hi,
I understand your concern. I fing a cople of causes for the prolonged bleeding from dogbite wound.
- The bite might be deeper to injure a blood vessel.-- such case demands care by a doctor.. for possibly it may need a stitch/ a pressure bandage with Injection Tt/ Injection Anti rabies/ antibiotic, anti inflammatory drug,
- The bite might be on a joint.. making t5he wound move ,thus clogging of bleeder becomes impossible. Here too a doctor's help is needful.
