Hi,

We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be acute pharyngitis and using OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with antihistamines like Cetirizine or Loratadine can help. Saline water gargles and steam inhalations may also help. Cigarette smoking should be decreased and gradually stopped.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
