What Causes Constant Burps Along With Chest Pressure?

Excessive burps all the time. No matter what I eat, the problem continues I stayed on a porridge and oatmeal diet for one whole week, but the burps just won t stop. I feel a pressure on my chest all the time which soothes out after a lot of burps only It s very disturbing, can t sleep properly The problem started around 40 days ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I don't know much about your medical past history or your age, but this seems to be more like gastroesophageal reflux.

A fibrogastroscophy may be needed and probably a PPI medication to be started, like Pantoprazole. I suggest doing an ECG too. Keep going with your diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Anila Skenderi, General & Family Physician
