I am having chest pain. Started 3 days ago. At first I woke up to constant pain on my left side chest, shoulder and neck. I tossed and turned thinking it was just exhaustion. The next day I had stabbing pains in my chest, under my armpit (Front) and my back (Left Side). I left it for another day and the pain got worse. Went to the hospital and ECG and Blood Pressure normal I was told it was probably Pleurisy and given pain killers. I am still sore, Have shooting pains in my neck. I am exhausted. anything I do is an effort. I really dont feel well. I cant explain it, but I am totally finished. (Maybe its the end of the year blues) but I feel totally off key. The pain is now more consistant and more dull but lingers for longer. Activity does tend to triger it but sometimes it also occures when I am inactive. Should I get a second oppinion?

Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query.Your problem can be due to cervical spondylosis. Then symptoms should be due to cervical radiculopathy. X ray cervical spine and spasm of trapezius muscle spasm while palpation can give clue for that.If pleurisy is suspected a chest X ray should be done also.If it is cervical spondylosis then physiotherapy, cervical traction, neck exercises and short term analgesics will give you relief.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
