What Causes Constant Chills?

I have had a cold and just about all identifiable symptoms of a cold. It s been a tough week. There is a symptom that won t go away. I feel like the skin in my back has been stretched. A constant goosebumps feeling whether cold wind blows or I m bundled up. It s really over sensitive to the touch as well. My wife looked at it and can t see any thing out of the ordinary.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be experiencing a prelude to viral fever.

Symptoms indicate generalized weakness, malaise, cold, and hypersensitivity to touch. So, take a Paracetamol tablet and get lots of rest. Also, take plenty of fluid and soft bland diet, it will pass.

If these symptoms persist even after doing all that, then consult your doctor for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
