What Causes Constant Cough Along With Wheezing While On Lisinopril?
I have been taking Lisinopril 40mg for high blood pressure for about four months now and have developed a constant cough with severe wheezing. It goes away every now and then but when I cough it tastes like chlorine. Is this something I should be worried about?
Hi dear. I am your physician, having a vast years long experience in the field of General Surgery, psychiatry, Radiotherapy, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, Ottorhinolaryngology and Nutrition and weight loss, and Pain Management. I have carefully gone through your case and in my expert opinion its DRY COUGH ( One of side effects of Lisinopril). Your physician gives you Lisinopril because it overweighs the side effects. But if cough is unbearable, we have alternatives for BP control. Now what to do in my views is to Consult your ohysician as soon as possible and discuss with him other alternatives to lisinopril and show your concerns why you wanna stop lisinopril. Hope you get well soon stay blessed
