I can t seem to cough anything up and cough so hard sometimes that my sides hurt. Any suggestions, my wife seems to think it walking pneumonia.
You should not neglect your condition. Your differential diagnosis is: 1. Pneumonia 2. Acute bronchitis
Your work-up done as follows: 1. Auscultation 2. CBC 3. Sputum examination 4. Chest x-ray 5. Spirometry to assess severity and further management
For mucus drainage Ambroxol syrup is helpful. You can be prescribed Levofloxacin like broad-spectrum antibiotic course. Drink more water. Steam inhalation done 3 times a day. Consult a physician or pulmonologist for examination and discuss all this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
