What Causes Constant Cough With Tissue Like Substance Coming Up In Phlegm?

I have had a cold for over a week. I have had a constant cough that hurts my upper chest and the base of my throat. I am blowing clear out of my nasal passage but a yellow like phlem is coming from my mouth. Recently I went to the doctor and had a chest xray and their appears to be no infection. Now I am still coughing so hard that I have been having a tissue like substance come up in my phlem. Is this something I should be concerned about.

Your throat need to be examined. If there is infection with pharynx or tonsil then a course of anti biotic like ezyhral 500mgdaily for three days with vit c bomplex can be given With this treatment you should improve.
