Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constant Cramps While Having A Stent In The Femoral Artery?
I had a stent put in my RT leg in 2006. I was shot in my RT leg in Iraq, hitting the femoral artery. They had to put a stent because my scar tissue was closing the Artery. Would a stent need to be replaced after a certain time? I am having constant cramps in my right calf.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
No need to replace the stent until it is placed correctly. I suggest you to do USG Doppler of the corresponding leg to narrow down the diagnosis and consult a physician. Mean while I advise you to take T.Myospas BD(twice daily after food) for 3 days for temporary relief of pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
