What Causes Constant Dehydration Along With Abdominal Pain In A Child?
HI I have an 11 year son that seems to stay dehydrated no matter how much I have him drink. He is very pale, tires very easily, has severe stomach pains which has resulted in vomiting bile. His blood tests come back unremarkable, a cat scan showed that his intestines are blocked with feces, and he has an enlarged rectum. He was taking 17mg s of miralax 4 times a day, as well as an increased water intake. drinking at least 2 quarts of water per day . he does not seem to be getting better. He has an upper GI on Monday. What questions should I ask his doctor?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if no concern symptoms of dehydration is there then it may not be like that still it can be ruled out by testing the serum electrolyte, what the CT imaging finding are given here it is not the disease condition, more child does not seems to have any chief complaint so no need to worry about this at the most he can be clinically examined by pediatrician hope this information helps.
