Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing clear discharge from only my right breast on several different occasions. The first time was completely spontaneously, and now it happens off and on when I am checking on it. I did see my regular family doctor who seemed to think it was nothing, but I am concerned.
Hello dear Understand your concern. Following are the causes of discharge from nipple: 1. Fibroadenoma 2. Infection of breast tissue, breast abcess 3. Duct papiloma 4. Breast cyst 5. Pituitary disorder 6. Irregular menstruation
I think you should consult the surgeon as early as possible for safer side: You should go for following tests: 1. Breast examination 2. Pelvic examination 3. Mammography 4. MRI scan 5. Hormonal assay 6. USG 7. Biopsy from breast if needed.
Take following advice 1. Wear full padded supportive bra 2. Gentle massage with prime rose oil 3. Apply warm pad for better relief 4. Do regular breathing and relaxation exercise
Hope this may help you. Best regards Dr. Sagar
