What Causes Constant Dizziness While Having Diabetes?

I have started going to a therapy pool for exercise .. strengthen an injured knee. I have high blood pressure, controlled with medication and am a type 2 diabetic, on insulin. My problem is after 35mins in the 93 degree water doing mild exercise, I get dizzy , light headed. Thought it might be low sugar, so this last time I had a small box of juice/ Symptoms lasted for several hours/ Also very tired/ Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to hypoglycemia.

I would suggest you to check blood sugar level at least three times a day and before taking insulin.

In case of repeated symptoms, consult with endocrinologist to adjust insulin dosage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
