What Causes Constant Foamy Saliva During Pregnancy?

I am 4 months pregnant and have constant foamy saliva. It feels like it is coating my throat, and I feel like I have something in my throat all the time. I am also experiencing heartburn from the foam. I know this is common during pregnancy, but is there anything I can do to stop it?
