Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constant Gagging In Throat While Suffering With Sinus Infection?
I have a dry cough that wont go away. I had broncotis 3 months ago an now I have a sinus infection that I am being treated for. I do not have trouble breathing but I do have a constant frog in my throat that I have to clear always. both my parents died of copd so I am a bit freaked out.
Hi, i do care for your concern. your history suggest more of post nasal drip, that occurs in sinusitis. This can be cured by taking a full course of broad spectrum antibiotics such as augmentin along with antacid, for the full course. have lukewarm water for drinking and avoid exposure to dust particles which would help a lot. chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (copd) is more related to smoking, exposure to smoke and industrial dust particles, if you a non smoker then you need not worry much about this. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
