What Causes Constant Headache After A Brain Surgery?

jerI am a 44 year old African American female who had brain surgery to remove a meningioma back in 2014, I now suffer with headaches and discomfort everyday, I cry everyday my face is very sensitive it feels like someone is pulling my skull back, and my vision is becoming blurred. My brain surgeon said there s really nothing that could be done, he then sent me to trigeminal specialist who told me he don t want to touch it because my bone is growing around my optic nerve, and my case is unusual could this be because the bone was shaved to low, I just want help need some relief

Hi,

Vision blurring is an important sign and you need to get investigated in detail. Please talk to your doctors and get a new CT brain scan or MRI brain scan done to make sure there is no new activity of any recurrent lesion in the brain. Once a new scan is done it will be clear regarding the causes of blurred vision. The trigeminal nerve irritation can be visualised in detail on an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vivek Chail, Radiologist
