What Causes Constant Headache And Pressure Behind The Ear?

Hi, I have had an almost constant headache now for 4 weeks which is on the right side of my head, and in the last week or so I have started burping a lot. I also feel pressure behind my right ear at times. I am having the headaches through the night and waking with them in the morning now. I have been to see my doctor and she thinks it may be tension related as I have been quite stressed recently. She has arranged foe me to have a CT scan next week to put my mind at rest but I can t help but worry it s something more sinister. Any ideas what this could be?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of constant headache for 4 weeks on the right side of the head, burping, pressure behind right ear.
This is called pointed headache and needs investigations.
Please try to prepone the appointment for CT scan and have CT scan of the mastoids and sinuses along with brain.
Burping can be due to reflex of headache but should be investigated by upper GI endoscopy as there can be gastritis or GERD related to the headache stress as you already are in stress.
You need to take anxiolytic to reduce the stress and have regular blood pressure check up as increased blood pressure can be cause for headache.
