What Causes Constant Headaches In A 60 Year Old?

For a few months i have been experiencing a constant head ache. I am 60 years old, have rarely had head aches in the past (except for when I have a sinus infection). It is on both sides of my head. It feels worse when I bend my head over (say below my waste). My head hurts when I sneeze (never experienced this in the past). I take medicines for my heart (lisinopril, metoprlol and verapamil), for asthma (Qvar and Atrovent) and acide reflux (protonix), but I have been taking all of these meds for quite some time without experiencing the headaches. My Atrovent was replaced with Spirva Respimat approximately one month before the headaches began. My heart doctor recommended that I stop the Spira Respimat 3 weeks ago to see if the headaches went away, and they have not. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Considering that the headache didn't improve after stopping Spiriva Respimat, in my opinion this is not related to it.Headache is a symptom that might be related to many conditions, but is important to rule out serious illnesses.

You should consult your doctor again, to consider about performing a head CT-scan, some blood analysis (complete blood count, blood sugar level, triglycerides, cholesterol).

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
