What Causes Constant Heavy Rumbling Sound In Left Ear?

My left ear has had a issue for a couple of years now where certain frequencies cas a sensation similar to water coming out of the ear, sounds like a light heavy rumble. This happens with phone speakers, washing dishes, sometimes happens during silence. You know when you try to tense the muscles located behind your jaw or head, you hear something? sort of like that. There is also soft tendon/cartilidge thats moves in my ear when i move my finger around. Ive been to a GP which sent me to an ENT which said they cant see anything wrong, i have also been for a hearing test and they all had no answer for me. It seems to be worse in winter season.

Hello,

Well, you might want an MRI just to rule out a benign tumor of the ear nerve. cannot say in your particular case.

But generally, slight disturbances of the nerves of the ear are very very common and can be due to mild viruses, medications such as diuretics or no clear reason at all.

They change over time but I've not had any go away. The only cause that actually matters is a benign tumor of the ear nerves. BUT it's pretty doubtful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
