What Causes Constant Itching On Torso And Back With Bad Body Odour?

Hello, I recently had c diff infection was treated and now I am well. I did smoke marijuana for a long while and my gastro explained that the infection was caused by the smoking. The symptoms I had where offensive body odor, constipation, nausea, irritability. Now that I don t have CDiff I still have body odor (not as bad as before) and I m itching constantly all over my torso and back. I also broke out in pimples on my back. I have never had a problem with acne before. I quit marijuana it is now 4 months. Please advise thank you

Hi,

Your symptoms suggest combined effect of sweating / unhygienic causing fungal infection of torso. Allergy can enhance the condition. I would suggest good bath with scrubbing and cleaning of part followed by drying, application of talcum powder like Candiderm powder / wearing and changing cotton clothes. Use of over the counter Neosporine H ointment would help. If no effect, consult a skin specialist.
