What Causes Constant Liquid Discharge Through Anus?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...There is liquid constantly leaking from my anus. Sometimes it smells like nothing, sometimes it smells like stool. I deal w constipation and incomplete bowel evacuation. For years if I had take a bowel movement while away from home, I would hold it as long as possible or go a little, cut it off and save for later when I would get home. Now it seems my body is doing this automatically. Could this be a contributing factor? I have had a sigmoidoscopy and everything is clear. I also have leakage of gas sometimes. Please help
Your symptoms seem to be related to anal fissure. Some advices that I can give to you are: -Do a physical examination to confirm the cause. -Use over-the-counter stool softeners. -Drink more fluids. -Take fiber supplements and eating more fibrous foods, such as raw fruits and vegetables. -Take warm baths called sitz baths to relax the anal muscles, relieve irritation, and increase blood flow to the anorectal area.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
