Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain, nausea And Loose Bowel Movements?
i have been to A&E recently twice and was admitted as a day patient. I had my blood tested which was fine and also had a rigid sigmoidoscopy which was also ok. I am having lower left abdominal pains, feeling very nauseas, and my bowel movements are loose. I only go once a day but often there are darker bits in my stools. I am due to have a CT scan in a week but i am worried.
Don't worry black clots may be blood or undigested food particles or it may be due to iron or bismuth tablet consumption.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Get it done stool for occult blood, CT abdomen, colonoscopy and upper GI endoscopy.
Please consult your gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
