Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a feeling of being nauseated in the back of my throat region. I never actually vomit or have this feeling for a long time. This has just started occurring within the past two and a half days. I have been on Naproxen(500 mg tabs twice a day due to a recent knee injury)
Nausea and vomiting can occur as a common side effect of pain killers like Naproxen. These symptoms will settle in a couple of days.
I would suggest that there is nothing to worry if nausea is the only symptom present.
In case of nausea, abdominal pain, dark urine, yellowish discoloration of skin and conjunctiva,Liver dysfunction should be suspected.Kindly stop the drug and review with your doctor for liver function assessment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
