What Causes Constant Pain And Cramps In Lower Abdomen Post Breast Reconstruction Surgery?
I DON T HAVE $29.00 ....SORRY...I had a tran flap breast reconstruction surgery almost 4 yrs ago. I never recovered from the constant pain and tight pulling sensation in lower abdomen where the tissue and some muscle is removed to built the breast. Very limited mobility and normal activities hard....Pain radiates into groin and has moved to make hip and lower back pain now...painful sex and frequent bowel movements. No one seems to have any answers or help....I m in the process of gathering all my medical records to if pelvic mesh or what was used. What could this be? The surgeon wants me to have a CT scan but I m holing off until I find more data. I had a hip x-ray and it showed mild degeneration but also noted were surgical clips right abdomen my most painful area.
Clearly the region from where the graft muscle was taken seems to be causing problems for your health. In such a situation I would recommend a CT scan like your doctor did to look for any organ structure damage. Once this is ruled out we can right forward assume the cause for the pain and mobility restrictions is the region from where the graft was taken.
Pain management and physiotherapy can be advised but considering surgery to go in and look for the cause for the pain could be debatable but may be considered if no other approaches work.
Best wishes.
