What Causes Constant Pain And Heaviness In The Legs?

For several weeks, been having Constant aching in the legs from the hip down and a feeling of muscle tension and heaviness. First steps in the morning, feet feel like I am on pins and needles. Mood swings, hot flashes, unable to sleep, and just turned 52. Assuming these (especially the last ones) are due to menopause. But I am concerned about the leg issues. Are they symptoms of Menopause as well?

Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Reasons could be most common:
1. hormonal imbalance
2. vitamins deficiency
3. blood sugars
4. spine problems
5. thyroid problems

I advise you to follow a good diet with lots of greens, multivitamin supplements, vitamin-D tablets. Consult a gynecologist to start on hormonal pills.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anusha Molugu, Anesthesiologist
