What Causes Constant Pain In LRQ Of The Abdomen?
Hi,I am Jessie and have been having continuous pain on the lower right part of my stomach.I had an ultrasound done and the report showed that my uterus size is normal,both adnexa are free and minimal fluid in pod.Antibiotics was recommended but I still feel the pain even though i ve finished the medicine and my menstruation still comes at the normal time

Lower right quadrant abdominal pain may be caused by many medical conditions involving the digestive tract, urinary tree and the genitalia.From the result of your ultrasound, organic pelvic causes can be eliminated.Some common causes include:
1.Digestive Tract problems: appendicitis, cholecystitis, diverticulitis, inguinal hernia, bowel obstruction, gastroenteritis and abdominal masses.
2.Urinary problems : UTI, kidney stones,
3.Gynecological problems: poorly treated Pelvic inflammatory disease given fluid in your pouch of Douglas.
With all these possible causes, only a keen evaluation by a doctor with some lab tests and abdominal ultrasound will help to bring out the exact cause.
You will need to see the Doctor for evaluation and work-ups like a stool exam, urinalysis, and abdominal ultrasound.In the meantime, if the pain is too intense, pain medication like ibuprofen may help.
