Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my daughter is having a pain in her diaphragm. it has been a constant pain. what could that be ? shes had gas bubbles before and she says its not the same kind of pain. shes also had pain in her lower and mid back for a couple days now. im not sure if it has anything to do with it. but why is she hurting like this?
I understand your concerns. The pains in location of diaphragm can be due to musculoskeletal reason, lower lobe pneumonia or pleural inflammation, liver abscess, pancreatic or gastric in origin. To come to a definitive diagnosis, I would recommend a complete physical examination by a paediatrician and laboratory work up including chest x ray and ultrasound abdomen if required.
You may give pain relief medications such as acetaminophen at present.
Hopefully this will be of help. Take care
