Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I hve pain in my ear neck and jaw since 3 months it's constant pain. I hve seen dentist he said tmj ent specialist said no ear infection I do have pain in my sinus aswel. There is a click sound in tmj. Left handside. I have been using anti inflamatics tablets and muscle relaxant but it didn't maje the difference at all..pain goes into my throat aswel
Constant pain in ear, neck and jaw and click in left TMJ with no signs of ear infection are all pointing towards jaw joint dysfunction also known as TMJ/TMD..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Panoramic x ray will be advised for diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
Although anti inflammatory painkiller and muscle relaxant are a part of treating this condition but to relieve the condition other procedures like night guards, physiotherapy and warm or cool compresses depending on the cause of the problem will also be advised..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
