Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mom has been taking oxicotin as well as other drugs for years. Has so much tooth mouth pain she wants all her teeth pulled even though 3 dentists have said there is nothing wrong with her teeth/gums. She has had the pain off and on for 3-5 years and has a mouth guard made for her mouth. She couldn t really go thru surgery as her health is bad and I don t think it would stop the mouth pain. Any suggestions?
So sorry to hear about your mother's problem and will try my level best to resolve it..
As per your complain if your mother has pain in jaw and teeth with no signs of any jaw or teeth pathology then it can be due to causes like Neurotic pain or nerve induced pain while can also be due to Jaw joint problems or teeth grinding habit.. You should consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon and get her evaluated.. She can be investigated by MRI Scan and also blood tests.. As of now she can try warm compresses, soft diet, pain reliever like Tylenol and avoid Stress by doing meditation and yoga.. Take sufficient sleep and a nutritious diet..
Hope this information helps..
Regards..
