ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
When there is cold the infected mucus from the nose trickles down the throat and causes infection in the throat .
This could be the reason for the abnormal feeling in the throat.
Other reason could be snoring or mouth breathing, whenever there is nasal infection there is more of snoring and that causes dry air in the throat and so the irritation .
Nose is the air conditioner of the body and protects throat and lungs.
You need to get an ENT consultation for the nasal infection and take --
antibiotics
decongestant tablets and drops
anti histaminics.
In doubt do reply
