Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constant Pain On The Left Side Of The Body?
I am having constant pain on my left side. At first I thought my bra (with no underwire) might be to tight so I used an extender and the pain is still there. It is under my bosom about a hands width below on my left side. I am severely overweight and thought It was just from sitting at my desk at work but my weight has not changed in a while and I have sat in this same chair 7 years. It almost feels like my skin is tearing on the inside. I did have shoulder surgery on my left side at the end of April. Any ideas?
With such a presentation in my clinic, I would first rule out muscular pain so I may suggest you reduce your weight by 5% and for it you require an nutritional expert help and do physiotherapy for post shoulder surgery and for it you require avail of a physiotherapist. I may suggest you to do warm compression to shoulder surgery site every day up to one hour which will amend blood circulation.
Hope that helps
Please let me know if you have further questions before meeting your primary care Doctor.
Thanks and wish you a good health
