What Causes Constant Ringing In The Ear Even After Taking Losartan?
I was on Lupron to shrink my fibroids. However, my blood pressure was raised so I was put on Losartan HCTZ 50/ 12.5 mg. A few weeks after my supracervical hysterectomy, I started to get ringing in my right ear only. I went to my family doctor, a ENT, and the ER. No one sees any blockage or damage to my ear. My family doctor then switched me to Losartan 50 but I still have ringing. I dont know what to do; I haven t slept in weeks.
Lupron contains leuprolide that is a GnRH receptor super agonist is used in the treatment of prostate cancer, uterine leiomyomata, endometriosis etc. According to Lupron And Tinnitus - a phase IV clinical study of FDA data that was created by EhealthMe, 35226 people reported to have side effects when taking Lupron and Among them, 123 people or 0.35% have Tinnitus.
So, Lupron may cause Tinnitus or ringing in the ears. Most of Lupron induced side effects may occur within 2 weeks after the first dose of Lupron and they may become worse for a few weeks. It may require about 3 months for your symptoms for becoming better. For further details, you can consult your prescribing doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
