What Causes Constant Scalp Itching When Diagnosed With Blepharitis In Eyelashes?
I HAVE CONSTANT SCALP ITCHING. MY EYE DOCTOR SAYS I HAVE BELPHARITIS IN MY EYELASHES. I WONDER IF I HAVE A SIMILAR CONDITION ON MY SCALP ALSO? I USED SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER FOR THAT AND MY SCALP STILL ITCHES. WHAT SHOULD I USE FOR RELIEF OF THE ITCHING? I DON T THINK IT IS DANDRUFF.
Hi, The most common condition that cause itching of the scalp is dandruff. And dandruff is most commonly associated with blephartits because the mechanism is almost similar. Dandruff not necessarily mean that you will have snow shower like scales falling on your shoulder while you comb your hair or the scales are visible on hair. The size of the scales (dandruff) can vary from very small to large. So, check it out if your scalp itches more when you go out in sun. If so then it is dandruff. Then, you can use anti-dandruff shampoo. If Not, I would recommend you to go to a skin specialist who could rule out other causes of scalp itching like fungal infections. Hope I have answered your query.
Regards, Dr. Jeffrey
