Hello,
Heart burning is commonly caused by
acid reflux, GERD, liver problem and ulcer (esophageal / gastric),
constipation may trigger acid reflux and hence, heart burn. Sometimes, heart burn may be indicative of developing CAD (MI). Since heart burn is associated with
shortness of breath you are suggested to get CBC, urinalysis, liver function tests, lipid function tests,
stress test,
echocardiography done. So that pathology can be detected and treatment started at the earliest.
Shortness of breath may be also caused by Stress (emotional, physical), asthma, angina, CAD, etc. Stay away from anxiety and stress. Switch to healthy lifestyle. Take food cooked in olive oil. Prefer to take boiled food over spicy oily junk food that triggers acid reflux. Take food in time. Avoid taking raw food, cook fruits , veggies and whole cereals well before consumption. Avoid constipation. Take fiber rich food and laxatives at bed time. Stay away from addictions if any. Take quality sleep. Get treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
