Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain constant urge to chew when you have your wisdom tooth erupting commonly occurs when you have soreness in the gum that is present over the erupting wisdom tooth and as when it starts tearing up to provide space for the wisdom tooth to erupt it becomes sore and the individual has an urge to bite down or chew over the gum in that area that given gratification and relieves anxiety..
Irritability, lack of sleep and mood swings can be due to stress or hormonal imbalances and if does not gets better after eruption of wisdom tooth or exaggerates you need to consult a Physician and get evaluated..
As of now to relieve the urge of constant chewing you can start applying numbing gel to relieve soreness..
You can do cool compresses or suck ice pops..
Do warm saline gargles..
In case if it still does not improve in a week consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
