What Causes Constant Urge To Urinate Along With Burning Sensation?

I am having urination problems. Sometimes after sitting, as soon as I stand, a sudden urge to urinate over takes me, and it is very hard to hold before making it to the bathroom. I also experience a burning sensation or a burning sensation when this happens.

Hi, thanks for your question. I'm glad to help.

These symptoms are indicative of a urinary tract infection. This means that the organs and tubes through which urine passes to the exterior have been infected.

You need to visit your primary care doctor to conduct a urine test for you. This test would show what bacterial agent is responsible for the infection and what appropriate antibiotic to use to treat it.

However, in the interim, get over-the-counter pain relief medications such as ibuprofen, as well as a urinary analgesic called phenazopyridine to be taken for two days and drink lots of water.

After you send your urine sample for test, you would be given an antibiotic to use pending when the result is out.

I hope i have answered your question,

Warm regards.
