Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is experiencing a need to urinate, but nothing happens for hours and multiple attempts. She is currently on Aripiprazol (sp?) but is switching to Haldol. Should we be taking her to the Dr. to address this issue? And will the Haldol be same issues for her as the previous one?
Based on the history you have shared, it can be drug induced as these are known to cause urinary retention however urinary tract infection needs to be ruled out.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
