Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constant Watering Of Eyes Along With Redness?
My eyes have been watering constantly. The eyes are very red and sometimes yellow. I have been to an optometrist twice over the last month who prescribed; washing the eyelids with ocusoft twice daily, using Lotemax 4 times daily, with Systane twice daily for 2 week then swithching to using Lotemax with tobramycin, Dexameathasone. I also have started using cold compresses. They ( the eyes) seem worse. So I see the optometrist again tomorrow and an allergist Friday. When this first started I threw away all my makeup and brushes and bought new non-allergent. I also tried not using makeup for 4 days. Still problem exists but worse.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if the eye symptoms not responding to given treatment then it must have been wrongly diagnosed and treated, without the advise of ophthalmologist better not to use the steroid it could worsen the condition in my opinion you have taken enough of medicine and now better to see the ophthalmologist it could be something else than allergic condition and infection hope this information helps.
