Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constant Weight Loss, Vomiting, Bloating And Sandpaper Rash?
My 1 year old son is consistently losing weight over the past 3 months-2 pounds down now. He vomits multiple times a day, always seems to be hungry, sometimes bloated, he has a sandpaper rash that never goes away and he doesn t sleep but a few hours at a time each night. We ve been to the allergist but his panel came back with no allergies. I m not sure what it could be and our pediatrician seems a to be a little stumped quite frankly. Any ideas?
* As per my clinical experience, the sand paper rash with weight loss, vomiting, bloating do indicate possible: - Unresolved bacterial infection with group A streptococci - Drug resistant infection - Low immunity from various causes like immuno-deficiency or others
However, if any of the reports are available from his pediatrician, better guidelines can be figured out ahead.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
