What Causes Constipation After Taking Paxil?

I have started taking Paxil 15 mg + soy milk for hot flashes, weened off of Premarin 12 mos ago. THe Paxil is working, keeping the severe hot flashes to a minimum...But now I am getting constipated, am taking a stool softner, and prune juice, lots of H2O. Anything else, you can sugest???

As a first line management, you can take laxatives like Lactulose for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
