What Causes Constipation And Black Stools After Taking Suboxone?
I have hep c (15-20 years now).. Last years I ve been getting weak, joints hurting etc....So my family doctor said I needed to address the hep c and see a bone and joint or pain management doctor for the hurting. And this is not just minor aches and pains, I can t work, hardly walk and so on. My pain doctor is treating me with Suboxone which is extremely constipating and my stools have been black since the suboxone. Is Suboxone a pain reliever? or to help get the opiate abuser off opiape? I read where it is not FDA approved for pain but tests were being performed to see if it will work for pain relief. Literally dieing and don t wat to go in pain...
Since you are having constipation take plenty of water, food containing fibre & antacids, take adequate rest & do regular exercises.
If you are passing black stools you should inform your treating doctor because black stools are indicative of some developing pathology in the upper digestive tract. You need to have a stool test(R/E & C/S).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
