What Causes Constipation And Bloating After Stopping Laxatives?

I m trying to stop laxative abuse cold turkey. I was up to about 27 laxatives a day, and I stopped taking them completely a week ago. Not really for an eating disorder, I don t binge, I just got in the habit of taking them and then couldn t stop. II would take anywhere from 15-27. I haven t told my doctor yet, but due to some recent kidney issues and low potassium, got scared and quit cold turkey before I had a 24 hour urinalysis. Today, I woke up very bloated and would like some relief from the constipation and bloating. I plan on calling my gastro doctor monday but in the meantime, would like some relief.

I recommend to use Simethicone medications three times a day for the bloating.
I also suggest using daily probiotics and drink liquids.
I also suggest to eat a fiber rich diet.
