Hello,
You are suffering from
constipation and unable to pass stool though you are getting pressure. Constipation is indicative that you are not taking a balanced diet. You should take fiber-rich foods, such as wheat bran, fresh fruits and vegetables, and oat. Limit your intake of red meat, it causes constipation. Avoid taking caffeine,
gluten, refined flour, full fat dairy products, etc. Take adequate fluids daily, water, noncaffeinated, nonalcoholic beverages throughout the day.
Exercise regularly. Avoid sedentary lifestyle for a better bowel movement. You can take natural laxatives like papayas (well cooked) or ripe papayas in sufficient amount to help better bowel movement. Take oral laxatives at bed time with milk, you can also take oral stool softeners or oral bulk formers to help bowel movement. DO not take
stress, be gentle with yourself.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
