What Causes Constipation And Low Grade Fever After Taking A Pain Killer?
I fell on 11/18 and broke the bone at the top of my left arm where it goes into the socket. They gave me pain reliever to take in which has caused constipation but I have also experience the last couple of days low grade fever as well. Is this normal if you can t go to the bathroom, it s been over a week.
Hello, I wish you fast recovering! About your question it will helped me if you could said your medication. Some of pain killer can cause constipation as side effects and that's something known, but about your low grade fever I think that maybe it came from overdosing. Some painkiller when you take more than normal and often than 6-8 hours( it depends from the class of pain killer) can cause hypothermia. I suggest you to stay in a warm environment with warm blanket and until the body temperature is normalize try to avoid body shower, alcohol and caffeine because they speed up heat loose. And as I said in the begin, please control the dose of painkiller. Best Regards! Eniola
