What Causes Constipation And Lower Back Pain During Pregnancy?

Hi i have pain in my right shoulder and lower back, stomach cramps bad gas and although i am having regular bowl movements i am feeling constipated also i am in early stages of pregnancy im worried my baby could be ectopic is it possible the pain could be a result of the gas and constipation?

Dear thanks for the question.

I would like to assure you that it is unlikely that you have ectopic pregnancy because ectopic is highly painful and pain is in abdomen rather than back. Back pain is common in pregnancy due to stress on body due to baby's growth. Constipation and gas in stomach are common in pregnancy as hormone levels in pregnancy leads to slowing of autonomic movements.

However I would like to advise you to visit obstetrician for smooth follow up of your pregnancy.
