What Causes Constipation And Migraine While Suffering From IBS?

I have been diagnosed with IBS and migraines. I think that my menstral suckle has something to do with both. About 2 weeks before my period I m constipated then after about a week I get a migraine lasting several days and then I get diarrhea then with in a day or two I start my period. I m wondering if my hormones are out of wac and if I could be prescribed something to help. I m 42 years old and have had my tubes tied for 16 years.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, your assumption is right.
Possibility of hormonal imbalance is more likely in your case.
And this is causing all your symptoms, constipation, diarrhoea, migraine etc.
So better to consult gynecologist and get done hormone levels.
Yoi may need hormone pills to regulate hormones.
Once your hormones are normalize, you will be alright.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
