What Causes Constipation And Vaginal Discharge During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am in 26th week of pregnancy. I am experiencing constipation and increased vaginal discharge. The discharge is whitish, gluey and does not smell. My cervix measured 31mm in the last usg about a week ago. Do I have something to worry about? -Neeta

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Increased vaginal discharge at 26 weeks of pregnancy may be a normal finding due to increased congestion of pelvic organs.
However, rupture of gestational sac or bag of waters has to be looked for.
Rupture of gestational sac will mark an onset of pre-mature labor.
Thus, rupture has to be ruled out.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your obstetrician for a clinical assessment.
Constipation may be due to pressure caused by growing size of uterus.
You may take medication for constipation but after consultation with your doctor.

Thanks and take care
