What Causes Constipation, Drowsiness, Bloating And Dark Urine?

Well, I ve been drinking more water because I ve been severely thirsty. But my urine is still very dark. And I ve been constipated and sleeping more than usual however I do work third shift. And I ve been bloated and have been eating more. What could it be?

Hello,

You have a history of having constipation, bloating, dark urine and feeling thirsty, you should take a break from work if possible because stressful lifestyle may cause such symptoms. However, such symptoms may be indicative of liver disorder (hepatitis/jaundice), UTI, kidney issues, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get liver function tests, urinalysis (C/S & R/E), CBC, Imaging tests, etc done.

In the meantime, avoid taking oily, spicy, junk food. Do not take frozen or packaged food. Avoid alcohol or addictions if any. Take boiled food for a couple of days, let liver detox. Take digestives and food that is easily digestible in small portions 3-4 times a day. Liver tonics are helpful and food good for liver should be taken in plenty like papayas, sugarcane juice, berries, well cooked veggies, etc.

Do not take full fat dairy products, red meat, refined flour that will load the liver. Take lean meat and small fishes. In case its UTI, you will be treated accordingly with antibiotics. Take adequate water & sleep.
