What Causes Constipation In An Infant While On Formula Milk?
Hi my baby is 7months old now, since im weaning him to formula milk i started with stage2 nan pro to my baby when he completed 6months.. Now the problem is he s getting constipated to 3 or 4 days long.. i also started him rice and ragi porridge... please help me with confusion.. should i give him stage1 nan pro?
You can try out other brands of formula milk. Along with this what is more important is wean him using homemade food.
Since you are already using ragi porridge you can also start with watery dal (pulses water) and ground spinach soup, mashed potatoes.
If he can tolerate you can also introduce your baby to the mashed egg yolk and mashed bananas. Adding mashed vegetables will help relieve constipation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Riyanka Chail, General & Family Physician
