What Causes Continuous Hiccups?

I have had hiccups that started on Saturday around 12:30 and they have not stopped and I am going on my 4th day. they continue every 3 seconds including when I try to eat and even when I try to lay down to sleep. please help I need relief and my doctor has done nothing to address the issue

Persistent hiccups have many causes, the commonest being digestive tract related like reflux disorder. Immediate visit to a doctor is needed
-If here are any neaurological signs like persistent headache, seizures, weakness of limbs is present
-If associated with Fever, cough, chest pain
I would recommend an acid lowering agent like Pantoprazol, if this doesn't help go to an ER and get yourself examined to rule out any serious underlying cause.
