What Causes Contractions With Diastasis In Pregnant Woman?
Im 7 months pregnant and have had random contractions for the last four days. My midwife suggested magnesium oxide to calm my uterus. Last night and today I have had lightheaded moments and just now looked in the mirror and realized my lips are turning a grey white. I am currently 264 lbs but have been steadily losing weight by eating healthy and regular exercise. Im 23 years old and this is my second child. I also have diastasis recti.
Hello, In the current scenario, you should consult your specialist for proper assessment and further management, by hospitalization if necessary. Diastasis recti can lead to weakened abdominal wall. The contractions could mean uterine irritability along with electrolyte imbalance. You need further evaluation in this situation. Please maintain bed rest preferably in the left lateral position, observe fetal movements and for any vaginal discharge, spotting etc. Recording of blood pressure is essential. Electrolyte profile, abdominal scan and urinalysis are needed. Hope this helps.
